Victor is so far having a lovely day. She had breakfast with her girls and Jude, even if it was only on skype, and she was eating mushy scrambled hospital eggs.

She's sewing now, a teddy bear for the new Kent baby. She still can't use her arm well, so that's by her side, and she's careful not to lift it, just using her fingers, her wrist. She's adept at adapting.

So far, the teddy bear definitely has a red cape. She's whistling.

"I'm gonna meet Batman eventually, so, that's gonna be rocking."

Yes, Victor, you've been telling everyone.

"And who is this Batman?"

"Oh my gosh, only the best hero ever (Clark excluded). I've been in love with him since I was in the single digits. He's all... dark, and scary. And growly. And cute."

"Growly?" Lorne laughed. "I have looked for growly my whole life sweet pea."

"But does he have light when he sings?"

"He's fantastic. I don't think he sings, though. He's too busy brooding and swooping off rooftops and bein'... mmm." A half-laugh, she shakes the hair out of her eyes. "I'll have to send you by some comic books and movies."

"He is in the comics is he? Like Aprils hubba hubba husband? Xander must have his series."

"But careful chasing cars, love."

"Yeah, you should ask him about it!" A quizzical blink. "Chasing cars?"

"I can see you light up when you speak of him. Are you aiming to work with him? Or more?"

She gives a twittery giggle. "Well... I'm married, and he's Batman. I'd probably respect him a lot less if he pursued me romantically. But a girl can dream, eh?"

"Always. They can't take away our dreams. Love."

"Most definitely." She gives him a wink.

Lorne leans back in his chair for a moment. "How much longer are you in lock up love?"

"I dunno, a while. I've got some healin' to do yet."

"Guess we are waiting then. But I will send pictures love. Lots of them."

"Awesome! Yeah, lots of pictures, we'll see if we can't pull something together over the internet, you and I."

"The runes in the puzzle are old tongue love. I am sure we will be spending a lot of time together."

"You, me, and Wesley, I'm guessin'. I'm cool with that. And, shoot, I can do my physical therapy there as easy as here, probably."

"We are not the best place for physical therapy love. You will get many visits from us."

A soft, disappointed sigh. She does understand, though. Best not to be running around in a dangerous world when she still can't really move one of her arms. "Good. Good, good. We'll work it out that way."

"Our trouble is not going anywhere love. It will still be here when you are all healed."

"I just wanna help make everything better." Like, right now. "Is there anything I can do to make you feel any better, today?"

"Sing a new song?"

"Well, there is this great song I heard recently. Have you heard Bank Job?"

"I have heard little music in such a long time love. Sing it for me."

This is basically a perfect Victor song, since she just might be the most likely to have zero qualms about pulling a bank job.

She cares very little about laws, except to cover her tail. She cares very much about people.

She starts singing, in a clear, ironic voice. "It was an upset in two minutes flat. We were back on the freeway, foot to the mat. I can't understand it; we had it down pat. It's very upsetting, could we leave it at that? We all had positions; we each had a role. We'd over-rehearsed it; we had full control. They can't teach you acting, it's there in your soul. It's the same with a bank job, and each thing we stole.

"So I don't need attitude 'cause you knew just what to do. We all did our best now. We all need to rest now. Leave me alone. Wait by the phone."

Her smile gets a little wider here, the singing gets a little more oomph to it. It's clearly her favorite verse. "I was the driver; you ran the show. You had the last word, the go or no go. I knew every laneway in Ontario. But it's not what you're sure of, it's what you don't know. It should have been filled with the usual ones throwing their cash into mutual funds. We all had our ski masks and sawed-off shotguns but how do you plan for a bank full of nuns?

"Well, I guess we panicked - we all have taboos. And they were like zebras; they had us confused. We should be in condos with oceanfront views. Instead we're most-wanted on the six o'clock news

"So I don't need attitude, 'cause you knew just what to do. We all did our best now. We all need to rest now. Leave me alone. And wait by the phone."

Her voice gets softer, almost a pleading tone to it, she's really playing this up. "Inside the police car you tried to explain your crisis of conscience; the voice in your brain. And now that the whole thing has gone down the drain I think we all know who should shoulder the blame. 'Cause you made a choice there, almost sublime. I'm all for compassion, just not on my dime. You looked like an amateur, and that's the real crime, so I'll take a walk now, and you do the time
