The doctor-- a proper doctor, not the Doctor-doctor-- just called Victor on the phone with the results and she told him not to say another word because she has to get Jack and so she cradles the phone between her ear and her shoulder as she texts Jack on her PINpoint: GET OVER HERE.

"Yeah. Um." She leans in closer, because this is hard for her to talk about, but that's what's great about talking to Jack. She doesn't have to worry about judgment. "Cole bodypainted me once. When I was in guy-body. I had shorts on," she assures him. "But, when he painted me, I felt so pretty."

Jack leans in too, because he loves personal chitchat like this, and for someone like him it's always great to be close to someone else. "I bet you were gorgeous."

She flushes even more, and then leans in and gives him a gentle-as-a-breath kiss on his cheek. She's smiling. "Thank you. That's really nice."

"I don't say it just to be nice," he says with a grin.

"I know," she says, pulling back, looking down at her hands, a small proud smile on her face. "That's what makes it nice. You really, really mean it."

"I don't always tell the truth, but when I do, I mean it." He has no idea that there's a meme that goes like that.

Victor's too busy to be plugged into memes, so unfortunately it's lost on her, too. "That means everything."

He grins at her, and digs his spoon into his froyo again. Despite having everything possible in there, he seems to be enjoying it. "This stuff is pretty good."

"Isn't it?" she says, a small, excited grin back on her face as she scoops up another spoon, this one with six white chocolate chips in it.

"What other sorts of things does this century serve frozen?" Jack is curious about everything, and he loves to learn.

"Oooh, um. Milk shakes. They're like, milk and ice cream and other good stuff all mixed together. Then there's slushies, which are like juice but frozen to the point where there's ice-crystals but it's still drink-able. What else is there...."

"I'm sure there's got to be frozen stuff on a stick somewhere," Jack says with a cheeky grin. Good old human food always tastes better on a stick.

"Yes! Yes there is! Popsicles. Which is like juice on a stick but frozen all the way. And there's semi-frozen alcohol, I've heard, but not on a stick. Probably."

"Semi-frozen alcohol, you say."

"Margaritas, pina coladas and stuff. I'll hook you up, once the baby's born. I'll hook you up with nonalcoholic ones, in the mean time! They're yummy."

"What's the point of making a nonalcoholic version of an alcoholic drink?" Jack wonders.

"They taste good. Like, pina coladas have coconuts and pineapples."

"But if it's the alcohol that makes it whatever it is, then it should be named something else, right? It'd be a coconut pineapple cocktail or something."

"Well, um, they c-call drinks, they call cocktails that are traditionally alcoholic that aren't alcoholic virgin. So, like, it'd be like a virgin margarita." Isn't she adorable when she's embarrassed.

Jack certainly thinks so. "I wonder if there's a virgin Sex On the Beach," he says, wanting to see just what hue she'll turn next. It's all in good fun.

She turns a shade of Ariel's-princess-dress pink. "I, uh, gosh, I don't know."

Jack laughs a little, but not in a cruel sort of way. "A drink's a drink, in the end."

"That it is," she says, grinning at him, swirling her frozen yogurt with her spoon to mix everything in properly.

Jack hasn't found a single taste in his froyo that he doesn't like yet. He really does go for anything. "I should visit Earth in my century sometime. I've never actually been."

"I'd love to see it, someday. I'd be the tourist!"
