It feels good to suit up. It feels better to get going on doing something constructive.

She straps her mask on over her face-- the one with the gas mask adjustment inside, because she doesn't really know what to expect, and it's better to be safe.

Her pack is on and fueled, and her leg braces aren't on, even though they make her feel better. She doesn't want to risk looking weak in front of potential assailants.

The kids are asleep, all except the baby and Jude. (One is reading a Particle Physics book under his blanket like Vic doesn't know it, and one is fussing like a howler monkey but Cole mutters a sleepy "I got it I got it" as Vic gives him a kiss on the cheek. I'll let you decide which is which.)

She PINs to Lorne's.

She gives a brief nod of agreement. She's trying to get a handle on herself. "Is there anything else we know about them?"

"They are responsible for the anti-violence spell on the bar. I would assume that someone who wants the spell gone, would also want harm to the Furies."

"Did the bar get any new rowdier customers, back when Lorne started getting sick? Maybe who came in, tried to start something, and then left?"

"New ones, no. There have always been a few customers who were unhappy with the rules of the bar. And most of them... don't know that Lorne is sick. He doesn't want them to know."

She sucks in a deep breath. "I think those're the people we need to start with. They have the motive."

"That will take some time." There are literally hundreds of people who do not like the rules. Only 10 percent of the thousands who come here.

"Can we see if there are any leads out in the ether?" That is to say, can April check the voices so they know where to start?

April nods, closing her eyes to concentrate on the voices, and the constant whispers in her mind. "It would not be just one customer, or one complainer... but a gang, who would benefit the most from having more freedom. More violence."

"Right, that's a good start! Must narrow it down at least a little."

"There is a constant... sound of motorbikes that I hear among the voices."

[victormakesart]

"Even better. Under normal circumstances I'd say we should ask around the club, but the three want it taken care of quietly."

"And I believe that secrecy is the key. It will not only aid our cause, but help us to uncover more truths to our own dilemma."

[victormakesart]

"Yes. So we've narrowed it down to biker gangs who don't agree with the Anti-Violence policy. Which I guess would be... most biker gangs."

[slayers_desire]

"There was a biker gang, that was mostly demons, that had taken over Sunnydale when Buffy went missing. I would assume the same gang might benefit taking over the Caritas?"

"That's a good place to start. D' you know where they hang out?"

[slayers_desire]

"No. But Father might."

[victormakesart]

"Good. I don't think this is something we should ask over the phone, though."

[slayers_desire]

"He doesn't like being in this dimension, much anymore. But he will always come to help me." Her relationship with Spike is much better now, since they have both found better places, and better paths.

She uses her PINpoint to send a message to him. And immediately gets a response. "He will be here in a moment. Says, just don't expect him in tights..."

Behind her mask, she cracks a grin. "I can't say I blame him. Tights aren't my thing, either."

"Clark seems to pull it off..." April softly laughs.

"He has the body for it, luv," Spike soon arrives, through the PINpoint portal. He is in his duster.

A twitter of a laugh, quiet, controlled, not like her out-of-costume laugh. "Pleased to see you again, sir."

"So wot seems to be the problem?"

"We need to find the biker gang that had invaded Sunnydale."

"The Hellions? Boy, you do like yourself some complications..."

"Yep!" she chirps. "Trouble is our collective middle name."

[slayers_desire]

"Well then, lets head out to their last known hideout in Los Angeles." Spikes takes a moment to collect some Demon-fighting equipment from the stockpile at the Caritas.

Vic glances uncertainly at April. They did say to keep this quiet and secretive-- would an unmasked Spike be beneficial to this goal?
