For Dan

Victor decided to try to be romantic. So she dressed up in clothes that had matching textures (but not matching colors, she was still Victor, after all) and started to set up the surprise, slowly and meticulously.

Dan might find a note on his desk that said "Go to the house, please?" in Victor's lazy, absentminded scrawl.

It might occur to Victor later that she forgot to put a time.

Then again, it might not.

She perched on the edge of a chair and waited.
