one leg, heartbreak, pirates and philosophy and irony!

This guy told me that he couldn't tell if I was heartbreakingly brilliant, or if I just said stuff. I told him I wouldn't tell him either way, so there! I'm rather immature sometimes, but he was asking for that answer, practically.

A stranger said that I looked like I could be in the mafia, but I was too nice. I think he meant my outfit. But, really, bowler hats are in style. Maybe.

A week ago, someone asked me who I was supposed to be. I decided to take that as a compliment.

The patch on my jacket of the skull and crossbones is still stained from that time Kim threw coffee on me, a long time ago. Which is sad, considering how many times I've washed it since then.

I saw a grackle with one leg. Usually when birds have one leg, they stand differently, but this one didn't. It was beautiful, eyes yellow and shining like colored aluminum.

I decided that it would be nice, after reading the Symposium (which was clearly set in a background of overindulgence and ostentatious behavior, where drinking and carousing can be rationalized within the boundaries of philosophic thought) to contextualize Aristotle within history. I wanted to explain the fundamental differences between Plato and his student. And I was right! Aristotle was so withdrawn and anti-ambition (a conclusion that I drew from the line "no one would desire to be a god" and the surrounding lines) because of societal changes after the loss of the Peloponnesian War. So...yeah. That was cool.

EDIT: Oh, yes! I forgot! Irony!
I watched a show the other day, two of them, really. One was about savants and it had a man named Kim.

The other was about feral children and it had a man named Victor.

"Yeah, I know, but everyone's partying in the weekend. So. Tomorrow?" he looks excited. "I'll introduce you to Rosie."

She nodded. "T'morrow works perfect!"

"Awesome!" He hugs her.

She hugged him back. Snuggle! "Yep!"
