I'm talking to my much-younger alt today. I can't help but feel...almost like I've let her down? She doesn't know that she's supposed to be me. And how would she? We're so different it's astounding. She isn't afraid of anything. What changed? What the hell changed? She is every memory that I've lost and she represents a part of me that I can't get back.

She paused in her typing to give her younger self a good scrutinizing. She was writing in her notebook, then she looked up to give Victor a challenging look.

They both rolled their eyes and went back to their respective writing.

"Want, uh, some coffee?"

"No, it's bad for me."

Victor laughed and gave her a thumbs up. "Good girl, there."

"I know."

Victor blinked and laughed again. This was just too surreal.

"I have, but it ain't enough. He wantsta spend time wi' me. I wanna spend time with him, too."

Gabriel nods, "What's your favorite type of art?"

"Patience Victor, I'm sure you'll see him sooner then you think."

"Dunno. I like drawin'."

"Hm. Maybe. I ain't good with patience. But I'll try."

Gabriel smiles, "I'm a fan of poetry or music yet again we are different."

"Its the hardest thing to master."

"I like those too. I like singin' and poems. I write songs an' poetry."

"It really is."

Gabriel nods, "Well perhaps you can become a wonderful poet like Victor. I enjoy her work, distracts me from my job."

"Don't worry you've got plently of time for it."

"I wanna read a poem of hers."

Victor shot her a small glance. "Might not be 'propriate for you."

"I've read lotsa stuff," she said stubbornly. Then she turned her attention to the angel. "What's your job?"

"I s'pose so."

Gabriel smiles, "There's a fancy title I don't like to use, however mainly I just observe humanity."

"Hows your school treating you?"

"Neat. That sounds like a fun job. You enjoy it?"

"It's tough work. I like it, though."

"Most things that are amazing take a lot of work until you can reward yourself."
