It feels good to suit up. It feels better to get going on doing something constructive.

She straps her mask on over her face-- the one with the gas mask adjustment inside, because she doesn't really know what to expect, and it's better to be safe.

Her pack is on and fueled, and her leg braces aren't on, even though they make her feel better. She doesn't want to risk looking weak in front of potential assailants.

The kids are asleep, all except the baby and Jude. (One is reading a Particle Physics book under his blanket like Vic doesn't know it, and one is fussing like a howler monkey but Cole mutters a sleepy "I got it I got it" as Vic gives him a kiss on the cheek. I'll let you decide which is which.)

She PINs to Lorne's.

It could be that the three breaking down is an unfortunate side-effect?

I do not know. It is possible they were causing the sickness too, and they are being stopped...

We have a starting spot, at least. Going to head closer to them and listen in. And she does just that.

The child is shivering, getting help to eat some questionable soup. The elder Demons around her look concern.

"She should be getting better." One whispers to another, trying not to allow the child to overhear him.

His companion, answers in Demon tongue.

"Well it did not work."

She understands the concern, for sure, even if she doesn't get the language. And she understands that she should be getting better, because that part's in English. Probably, she thinks, so the girl won't understand what they're saying, if she's monolingual.

The non-English speaking demon speaks again, lowly. A desperate tone in his voice.

"There are others?" The one that knows English replies. "Then we try again."

Okay, she's lost on that one. There are others? Perhaps they mean other spells in place to keep the club nonviolent? Other safeguards? Other reasons the child is ill? She takes note of his exact wording and his friend's tone of voice and continues to listen.

"Once Tarryn is asleep, we will ask the others to find the right fit."

The non-English speaking Demon seems to agree. And they do not continue the conversation, in fear of the child overhearing them.

Tarryn. She'll have to remember that.

She stays where she is, observing the child, her physical features, the way she's sitting, if she looks flushed or just weak.

For the most part, the child just appears like she is suffering from flu-like symptoms. She is pale in color (when compared to other demons of her species, around her).

Spike gives a laugh of excitement from his table, he has won his last three rounds.

She takes note of that, glances over to Spike, and plans to keep up her observation until either he leaves or the kid does.

The half-hour is waiting and watching. Spike plays a few more rounds, before calling an end to his time at the table. He has come out it with a few kittens (which he plans to donate to a few demon families in need of a pet).

The demons with the sickly child also make motions to leave...

Vic makes sure she's out of their way, edges back to the wall where she can watch from a safe distance.

The demons leave first, and as Victor watches, she will note that Spike himself is following them as they head away from the bar. The demons head to the poor section of town, where they live in very deplorable conditions.

After giving them a twenty-foot headstart, she goes ahead and follows Spike. Her knee has a twinge, she bites the inside of her cheek to keep from making a sound.

She has an extra shadow... as April is sticking close to her friend right now. Besides, if Spike gets too far ahead of them, April will always be able to direct Victor down the right path.

Basically at the Demon home, it is a typical end-of-day routines for the family. Getting the kid ready for bed. Brushing her teeth and her hair. And not so typical stuff -- giving her medicine.

She watches from the window (like a creeper) and feels shady (like a creeper). She wants to check what the medicine bottle says, but she doesn't want to risk alerting them to her presence. So she thinks it loudly to April.
