I painted my first painting in a couple of weeks. I didn't know what I was doing, but it turned out well. Actually, it turned out really well.

I've found the song that means me. Actually Kel (now Val) found it and showed me. Just...not the sad parts. If you look at the sad parts just right, they aren't sad anymore.

"It really does." Victor searched in her purse and pulled out a book. "I put 'The Iliad' on hold in favor of 'The Aeneid Virgil', which'll go a bit faster once I c'n make myself sit still to read it."

Spider grins. "Finally listening to my advice, eh? The Aeneid's wonderful, though Dido's a bit strange. Go you!" He smiles.

"Noooo," she said, a joking smile creeping over her face. "I just got bored."

Spider sniggers. "Didn't I tell you to stop lying to me? You just thought 'This Spider feller could really be right, huh? How 'bout that!' And you put it down."

"You also told me to keep trying," she added charmingly. "Still love ya."

"I am a man of contradictions." He grins. "Well, good. Same here, cutie." He ruffles her hair.

"Good, 'cause I've got lotsa contradictions, too."

She giggled. "Cool."
