Because I'm fashionable like that, a meme.

If I was to be jailed with no chance of escape, how would you want me to be punished, if at all?

She nodded, then craned her neck forward, straining to see ahead. "Sounds grand, then."

"I thought you'd like to see it."

"I think I'll like it very much."

He grins. The sound of water is now present.

She closed her eyes for a second, just listening, before opening them again. It was good sometimes to just listen.

"Come on!" He bounds ahead, ducking through a gap in the trees, and emerges beside the stream. Sunlight glitters off the surface of the water, and a water-bird is startled by his arival, cawing and flying away.

She laughed and squeezed through after him, stepping beside him and leaning down to brush her fingertips against the surface, as if to catch the light there and hold it for her own.

He sits on a log and splashes his toes in the water.

She leaned forward, and reached out a little farther, still trying to catch the sunlight.

He grins and kicks a bit of water towards her hand.

She looked like she was concentrating intensely, then with a wink and a grin, she splashed a bit of water toward his foot.

He laughs and splashes back harder.

She responded in turn, with an accompanying giggle.

He stands and dashes through the stream, kicking water in all directions as he goes.

She laughed and waded in after him.

He turns quickly in a circle, his arms outstretched.

She splashed around merrily.

He manages to trip over something and fall, laughing all the while. He sits up and shakes water out of his hair.

She sat down in the water, splashing at him lightly. "You okay?"

"I'm fine." He grins up at her.

"Good." She grinned at him and splashed once more before it registered that perhaps she shouldn't've gotten the bandage wet.

He notices her hesitation and looks questioningly at her.

She looked down at her arm and smiled sheepishly. She shrugged.

"Would you like to go inside? Have some tea or something? A snack?"

"Only if you would," she said stubbornly.
