Victor led Rico over to the Muse's studio, bypassing the welcome mat and walking right in.

The Muse didn't take his eyes off of the painting that he was currently working on, containers full of paint scattered all around him. It looked like he was painting a person walking out of the water, but it was too early to be sure. His third arm painted wildly while his other two remained still at his sides. It was rather unnerving, even to Victor, who had watched him paint quite often.

"None taken. It'd still be you Mr. Rico. Everyone has dormant potential. I jus' help unleash it." He shook his head. "Nah. Ain't nothin' to do but wait it out, I think. Been hurtin' since lady-knife so I've been limiting myself t' four paintin's a day."

Rico snorts at the "mister" part. "If you say so."

Rico grins. "Thanks man, I appreciate it. Anything I can do in return? I need to pay rent somehow."

"Nah. There ain't rent in th' Nexus." He shrugged. "I earn any money I'd need by sellin' my work."

"Doesn't seem fair, though. I'm like a leech." He pulls at his hair thoughtfully. "Then again, I don't think I need to eat, so I'm only taking up space..."

He thought better of mentioning that he figured that leeches weren't very pretty, so that it wouldn't work proper. "Nah. Nothin' like a leech. I'm happy t' help."

He has to think about this sort of thinking for a bit. "Well. Thanks."

"Any friend've Miss Victor is a friend've mine."

"How'd you meet Victor, anyway? She's a nice girl."

"I've Inspired her for years. I'm her first Muse. An' only."

"Nice girl," he repeats, closing his eyes again. "Not many people out ther with such a kind heart."

"She is." He laughed. "She's weirdweirdweird. It's lovely."

He stepped over to a pile of folded clothes. "I wanna change my shirt. Jus'...warnin' you." He picked out a blue shirt. "I doan wanna wear green anymore today," he said, as if that explained everything.

Rico gives him an odd look. "Warn me about what? I've seen guys shirtless before."

"Some folks're strange about it, is all." He took off his shirt, turning away quickly because of the stiches and scars that striped his back. He didn't like the way people reacted to the marks, and he forgot that he had them for a while. He slipped the other shirt on, moving his third arm around to push it through the hole in the back.

Rico's more interested in watching the third arm work. After openly gawking for a second, he thinks that maybe that's not the politest thing to do and studies the lovely wallpaper pattern instead.

And the Muse was happy for that. He could use a day without awkward questions. He didn't mind people staring at the arm though. He waved it around. "I love this thing. So helpful."

The motion catches his eye and he looks back, interested. "Doesn't it get in the way? I'd think that going clothes shopping would be a nightmare."

"I hafta wear a big jacket if'n I leave th' Nexus 'cause of Funny Looks. I need it 'cause I can't drop th' bottle an' the cig. They grow back. Need t' feed myself an' paint, y' know?"

He looks thoughtful. "I'm pretty sure. At least, I haven't tried for a while." His stomach growls and he grins sheepishly. "But I still get hungry, looks like. Where'd you have in mind?"

He put a jacket on to cover up his prosthetic. "Alrighty. Taco Bell it is. Don't tell Miss Victor tha' I'm leavin' the AVF, though. She's sorta protective."
