Victor is so far having a lovely day. She had breakfast with her girls and Jude, even if it was only on skype, and she was eating mushy scrambled hospital eggs.

She's sewing now, a teddy bear for the new Kent baby. She still can't use her arm well, so that's by her side, and she's careful not to lift it, just using her fingers, her wrist. She's adept at adapting.

So far, the teddy bear definitely has a red cape. She's whistling.

"Really? No I didn't hear that." April has been busy worrying about other billionaires after all.

"I'm so thrilled." She has the hugest, most ridiculous crush on Batman, which is slightly complicated by the fact that she's never spoken to him.

"You will wait until you are healed before you fanboy him... right?"

"Maybe. Probably. Well, first I have to wait 'til he puts on the cape and cowl, then I have to wait 'til he contacts us or we contact him. A few missions... then I'll ask him out to coffee. That's the plan."

"Well at least there is waiting involved." April smiles softly. "And we can definitely get a feel for any Batman sightings."

"Yay!" she chirps, face breaking into as big a grin she can get it without it hurting. "It's thrilling!"

April is happy to see her so excited. And her thoughts on something more positive. Speaking of which...

She reaches out to gently grab Victor's good arm, placing it on April's belly just in time for Victor to feel a few kicks from the baby.

"Acorn wants to say hi."

She squeals with joy, hand flat on her tummy, and her voice has totally gone up an octave and a half. "Hi Acorn! Uncle Victor says hi! I love you!"

There are a few more kicks in response. And April chuckles. "I think Acorn just heard you."

"Oh, you beautiful baby, I can't wait to meet you," she coos softly.

"It won't be long. Another 16 weeks and Acorn will be here."

"I'm so excited! Another little baby comin' into the world, who's gonna get so much love."

"We are quite excited too. And soon... we will be parents."

"You're gonna be great at it."

"I hope so. We definitely are getting a look at caring for a teenager with Connor."

"Is he pretty chill, or a wild child?"

"He has a curiousity for life. And adventure. He wants to be a hero."

"How do you... is it easy to encourage heroing in a kid? I don't want any of my kids to be heroes."

"I can sense that Connor wants to help people. And Clark has agreed to help Connor train in using his powers... because he has them."

"I don't know... our kids are going to have abilities. And I guess, it will be a balance. Teach them to be repsonsible. Trust in them. And if they want to be a hero... support them."

"Yeah, I'm just... I think I'm excessively overprotective, but I can help it. I hope to goodness that my kids grow up to be accountants or mathematicians or something like that."

"I just consider it in the way... that no matter what they do they will be heros. Life might cause challenges. But they will always have my support and love."

"Maybe it's different, havin' kids with powers," she says, as her stomach sinks, thinking about what if her little babies decide to put on capes. She wouldn't be able to stand it. They're so small. So human. Even the nonhuman ones are so human.

"I think any parent would worry about their kids, no matter what they do."

"But I know your kids will be great. They have a great dad after all."

"Gosh, thanks. They're pretty awesome kids, so, I mean," she murmurs, sheepishly.

"You won't have to worry about them. They will make you proud no matter what they do."
