Victor is so far having a lovely day. She had breakfast with her girls and Jude, even if it was only on skype, and she was eating mushy scrambled hospital eggs.

She's sewing now, a teddy bear for the new Kent baby. She still can't use her arm well, so that's by her side, and she's careful not to lift it, just using her fingers, her wrist. She's adept at adapting.

So far, the teddy bear definitely has a red cape. She's whistling.

There is a knock at the door. April was out and about today, and thought she would visit Victor.

She's listed under Samantha Blatt, and she says, cheerily, "C'mon in!" She stows her sewing.

April enters the room with a smile. "Hey sweetie. How are you today?"

[victormakesart]

"Pretty good! I'll feel even better when I can give my kids a big hug, though. It's hard to be away from 'em." She has to be a little careful about the way she shows expression... a horizontal cut is healing on her left cheek, vertical on the right, if she's too animated she worries she might crack the scabs open, but all the same, she's extremely pleased to see her friend. "How're you? How's the baby? And Clark?"

"Oh I am doing fine... the baby has started to kick now. If I feel it, I will let you know." April knows that is something that thrilled Clark the first time it happened.

"Clark is okay too. He just... inherited another relative."

"Oh my gosh, how exciting! How does it feel?" This is something that greatly interests Victor, an experience she'll never get, she's curious, thrilled for her.

"Weird... like a movement from inside of me."

"That's gotta feel incredibly crazy. Like controlled indigestion or something. Oh man. You said something about Clark gettin' a new relative? Oh! And please, feel free to sit down, whatever you want."

"Well it definitely feels like something is moving inside of me. Almost alien like..." A small chuckle, since April is married to an alien. She sits down beside the bed.

"Yes. Um he used to be called Alexander, is now going by Connor. Was that clone of Lex... we found out that they also used Clark's DNA to create him. And has showed Kryptonian powers already."

And somehow or other, it's indicated that Victor has a phone call from a lady named Hormah.

She flips her battered phone open and puts it to her ear. "Howdy."

"Howdy yerself ye..." The cheerful reply breaks off and then Hormah's tone turns startled and concerned. "Ye ain't usin' a cellphone in the hospital, b'y?"

"Er, yeah, I am," she says, sheepishly. She knows cell phones are against the rules in hospitals, but she's never run into a problem with it disrupting her equipment, and in any case she's not hooked into anything especially fancy. "But it's okay... I'm not near anything where the electromagnetic interference would cause a problem."

"Still," says the Primus Servant crisply. "Text me yer addy t'ere 'n I'll mail ye somet'in."

This said, the obstreperous young hybrid hangs up.

She texts her e-mail address and pulls her laptop toward her, pressing the power button with her thumb.

There's a moment's pause, and then an email appears in the box. Hormah's email name is 'holy destruction'. Is anyone surprised?

She snickers, scrolling down on her keyboard, clicking on the e-mail to read it.

A few days later, April arranges for a computer to be delivered to Victor's hospital room. It has WIFI. Best of all, it also has Skype.

There will be a Skype phone call on the computer, around visiting hours. The user name is "3llT Gr33N"

Hey hey, a call! For a moment, she's scared it's Lionel dialing her up, you know, with the green (money, kryptonite, the fact that he's sickening).

Then she figures, if he knew where she was he'd probably do something other than scare the life out of her.

So it's with a pounding heart and a shaking hand that she presses accept, keeping her other hand curled on the blanket, finger on her PINpoint button.

The screen opens with blaring music, pop rock, and disco lights. Then Lorne slides into view of the web camera. And proceeds to do a dance, just for Victor, without any words to explain why.

She laughs, finger slipping off her PINpoint, and her heart's still going like she's being chased by a bear. "Sugar, you know how to cheer a girl up."

Finishing his dance, Lorne comes closer to the web camera with a smile. And a stylish white hat covering his horns.

"Gorgeous. How are you? Wish I could be there in person."

"I'm living," she says, with a wry little grin, hand sweeping back through her hair. She reminds herself to remember to brush it. Eventually. "How're you, mister green-and-fabulous?"

"So bored of fighting zombies. They have no imagination. No witty comments. Just all roar... and eat brains..."

Lrone fidgeted. "I heard you had a tough day previously too."

[victormakesart]

"Man, you guys're on zombies now?" She shudders involuntarily, shoulders quaking. "Hate those guys. And, yeah... major suckage over here. Yet another enemy I made for literally no reason who's still out there."
