"Dunno." She laughed.

He laughs. "Well, we should work out the details of how I should do it. I mean, what would make you happy?"

"I've been 'kay. 'Cept I met my alt and she did bad things. But I'm okay now."

She pushed up her sleeve, showing off a blood-spotted silk bandage. "Got stitched up."

He blanches slightly, though not much, because he's seen worse wounds. Not, however, on young ladies.

She pushed her sleeve down again, and sighed.

"Are you quite all right? Is there anything I can do?" His hand falls unconciously to the dagger he still wears at his hip.

"It hurts a lot," she muttered, sweeping her other hand through her hair. "But I'll be okay."
